·         Kappil Lake

·         Varkala Tunnel
This 285 meter long tunnel was built about 100 years ago connecting Thiruvananthapuram with the Kollam. The main reason behind the development of the tunnel was to establish a successful trading between the two cities. The tunnel is an engineering brilliance as there is ample of air circulation and natural light in the tunnel.
